Ident Project 2 / Part 2

So now that we are well underway into our last term here at Trent, I thought I should really be getting on with some more work. So far I’ve not posted much on my blog about my current project so I thought I'd give an update on how it's going.

I decided to have an interface compromising of a Guitar Hero guitar fret board, with the 5 different colours. I decided to go with this since, well firstly, it’s one of my favourite games, and secondly it fits the bill perfectly. The 5 coloured buttons can be used as the 5 interactive objects. Great!

I have been playing around with flash recently to get to grips with it, before taking this course I had never used flash as such so already I’m quite impressed with what you can do with it.

The interface is now working nicely, when you hover over the buttons and animation occurs which moves one of the fingers to the button being hovered over. It then pauses while hovering over the button to see if the user would like to actually click this button with the mouse (and thus continue onto something else i.e. One of the identity boxes). Then if the user clicks the button It will open up the next part. If you move the mouse off the button then it will go back to the main scene where the hand is simply holding the fret board.

Here are some pictures to give you an idea:
